POSITION DESCRIPTION – WOI NEW ZEALAND DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

 

World Outreach International (WOI) is a non-denominational, faith-based mission agency that exists to ‘evangelise and disciple unreached people groups, equipping them to reach and disciple their own and other peoples.’ Being faith-based, WOI depends upon donations and revenue streams to fund its operations, ministries and projects.

ROLE DETAILS

 

Role Description:

The primary purpose of the ‘Development Officer’ is to manage and execute the strategic plan of the Development Division for New Zealand.

Development Director

 

Key Relationships

Development Director, International Director, Communications Director, NZ Country Office Director & Administration Team  ___________________________________________________________________________

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

1.     PLANNING

·      Translate the NZ development division strategic plan into action/ communication plans.

·      Devise NZ based fundraising campaigns

 

2.     NETWORKING

·      Build the awareness and credibility of WO in every possible relevant forum including (but not limited to) Christian business forums, pastors and church leader gatherings, and not for profit events

·      Continuously seek new networks and potential donors

 

3.     REPRESENTING

·      Take every opportunity to represent WO in public fora/events (e.g. mission fairs, seminars, at churches etc), seeking opportunity to share about WO

 

4.     NURTURING

·      Nurture one-on-one relationships with donors through various communication methods including face-to-face meetings

 

5.     ADMINISTRATING

·      Maintain and update donor databases

·      Manage annual budget for the NZ development division

·      Analyse donor giving trends

 

6.     COORDINATING

·      Run an annual fundraising dinner and other events as agreed upon with the Development Director

 

7.     LEADING

·      Lead a team of volunteers to support in the running of events or any administrative duties that support fundraising efforts

WOI RESPONSIBILITY

WOI will cover travel budget

 

EXPECTATIONS

Raise own support after 6 months seed funding
Willing to travel on a regular basis

$345 per week for 2 days
