Community Trust General Manager

The General Manager of Hope Community Trust oversees a range of existing ministries into our community, providing operational and strategic leadership to our team leaders.

Hope Community Trust is a ministry of Rangiora Baptist Church and is a significant faith-based and non-government provider of Social Services in North Canterbury.

The purpose of this position is to develop and grow the organisation to positively impact on the lives of the vulnerable and marginalised in our region. This will be done by working with the existing team to develop and strengthen existing ministries and to implement new initiatives in partnership with the wider community.

The position will be directly accountable to the Trust Board and contribute to the wider work of the Kingdom of God through partnerships with other Church bodies, social service agencies, NGOs and the private sector. In developing and growing the Hope Community Trust the General Manager will work closely with the Executive Pastor as well as the Lead Pastor of Rangiora Baptist Church.

The successful applicant will demonstrate a strong and open Christian faith and will be comfortable engaging with church leaders and congregations, as well as being seen as a mentor and role model with a biblical understanding of justice and Christ-centred compassion. The General Manager will also be experienced in engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, advocating on behalf of the vulnerable and engaging with media.

•        Strategic thinking.

•        Experience in a not-for-profit organisation.
